Memorial RN Honored
GULFPORT, Miss.— Maria Ladner, Registered Nurse in Cardiac Services at Memorial, was recently named a Guardian Angel.
The Memorial Hospital Foundation set up the Guardian Angel program to give grateful patients the opportunity to make a donation to the Foundation in honor of a doctor, nurse, other staff member or volunteer who made a difference in their care or the care of a loved one at Memorial. Guardian Angel recipients will receive a lapel pin they can wear with pride.
Eve Masinter, a recent patient at Memorial, credits Ladner for her dedication, compassion and for being a very caring professional.
Through her gratitude, Masinter made a donation to the Memorial Hospital Foundation Guardian Angel Program in honor of Maria Ladner.
“It is clear from her actions that Maria truly cares about her patients,” said Masinter. “She explained every step of the process and procedure. She came down to check on me even when she was working on another floor and ensured that I received my discharge instructions through a shift change. Maria more than deserves this recognition and I am glad your institution and patients derive the benefit of such an outstanding healthcare professional.”
