School Clinic Therapist Program
On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina forever changed the world we knew. In response to the overwhelming demand for mental health services for school aged children, Memorial Hospital again offered the School Clinic Therapist Program.
The Memorial Hospital Foundation has received over $1million in grants from the McCormick Tribune Foundation, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The United Way of South Mississippi, The American Red Cross, The Fourth Generation Fund, and the Gulf Coast Community Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of these organizations, over 10,000 free mental health sessions have been provided to over 5,000 students in Harrison and Hancock Counties.
