2008 Wreaths of Wonder
On December 20th, 2008, the Memorial Hospital Foundation held its First
Annual “Wreaths of Wonder” event at the home of Bill and Angela
Wingfield in Pass Christian. Over 100 community leaders, physicians, Lions Club members, and employees of Memorial Hospital attended the event and bid on wreaths made by "local celebrities." Proceeds from the event will be used to benefit the Memorial Hospital Oncology Clinic.
This new clinic will allow Memorial to provide
outpatient medical oncology services to citizens of the Gulf Coast regardless of their ability to pay and will eliminate out-of-town
referrals and the need to travel. Access to needed chemotherapy services
will be timely and more conducive to patient and hospital resources.
